“Food may not be the answer to world peace, but it’s a start.”
- Anthony Bourdain
I have always considered myself a “big foodie”, but it wasn’t until 2014 that I really understood what that meant to me. That was the year I was introduced to Anthony Bourdain and his catalogue of shows, and I also watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi for the first time. Two things happened to me after that. I now understood that food was more than a meal, it was culture, and history, and art.
Because of Anthony Bourdain and his massive appreciation for the cultural impact that food can have, and with the goal of one day being able to do something similar, I went into Journalism.
Because of Jiro Dreams of Sushi and eventually Chefs Table I understand that food can be art as well as taste delicious, and with the goal of making something like Jiro Dreams of Sushi, I first picked up my camera.
The rest is history.
